Exiles Beat Montgomery 26-8 Under the Lights, Savannah Win 33-24 at Hilton Head

The Exiles beat the Montgomery Yellowhammers 26-8 at North Park in Alpharetta, the Savannah Shamrocks won 33-24 at Hilton Head after Augusta could not travel, and the Atlanta Renegades won 138-0 against a shorthanded Gwinnett Lions side at Bryson Park in Lilburn

The Exiles called it Saturday Night Lights, and the graphic from North Park in Alpharetta read "FINAL FROM NORTH PARK, 26-8 ... WELL DONE TO BOTH SIDES!" The 6 PM kickoff against the Montgomery Yellowhammers ended "Exiles 26, Montgomery 8," and the club thanked Montgomery "for making the trip up and giving us one helluva match!" The Sunday reel put it this way: "We may have taken the W, but rugby was the real winner." The social was at Olde Blind Dog. The Exiles' next date on the calendar is the first round of the Palms & Pines Cup at Hilton Head on Saturday, November 14.

Hilton Head's Saturday changed on Friday morning. Augusta "was unable to travel," the Gators posted, "however, Savannah also had a cancellation, and is sending some of their own villains over to Hilton Head Island so both clubs can have rugby this Saturday." It went ahead at 1 PM at Barker Field on Family Day, and Hilton Head's full-time graphic has the Savannah Shamrocks 33, Hilton Head 24. The Gators' caption: "And we would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling line outs." Savannah are at Macon Love at Carolyn Crayton Park on Saturday, November 7, and Hilton Head host the Exiles on November 14. Augusta host Columbus on November 7.

In Gwinnett County, the Lions moved Saturday's match to Bryson Park in Lilburn, and the Lions' own full-time card reads 0 to 138 to the Atlanta Renegades. The Renegades' post: "Renegades Win! ... Massive respect to the @gwinnettlionsrfc," who played "two men down and without a single reserve." The Lions' card names their next match: Saturday, January 23, against the Gainesville Spartans. The Renegades are at Charleston on Saturday, November 7. Every kickoff the clubs have posted is on the calendar.
