Golden Eagle and the Lady Kingsmen Are In for Ragnarok 7s, Old White's Youth 15s Start at Lake Point

The Valkyries have welcomed Golden Eagle Youth Rugby and the Lady Kingsmen to Ragnarok 7s on November 21 and 22 at the Old White pitch; Atlanta Old White's youth program, Red Top Rugby, starts 15s practice on Monday, November 9 at Lake Point Sports Complex in Cartersville; the Rebels' high school boys and the Valkyries are at Halloween 7s in Knoxville on Saturday; and the Exiles' boys XVs start November 2

GOLDEN EAGLE YOUTH RUGBY, WELCOME TO RAGNAROK 7'S, GOT WHAT IT TAKES: the Valkyries' Monday graphic carries Golden Eagle's crest, and the club named the Lady Kingsmen the same day. Ragnarok 7s runs Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 on the Old White pitch at the Atlanta Rugby Grounds, 1035 Fairburn Road SW, Atlanta, Georgia, boys' and girls' high school divisions, presented by Valkyries Rugby and hosted by Atlanta Old White, team registration open through the Valkyries' form. Golden Eagle, out of Dunwoody, is still recruiting: "Register Now! Practices 2 Weekdays in Dunwoody," per the club's bio.

Atlanta Old White's youth page now reads: "Youth Rugby 15s starts 11/9/26 Monday & Thursday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Lake Point Sports Complex at 261 Stars Way, Cartersville, GA 30121," and names Red Top Rugby as the official youth program of Atlanta Old White. The same page read Dellinger Park, Mondays and Wednesdays, a week ago; go by the page. Old White's youth side went 1-2 at 865 Sevens in Knoxville on October 17.

Halloween 7s is Saturday, October 31 at Tennessee Rugby Park, 8058 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville, 9 AM to 5 PM, high school boys in two tiers and high school girls; the Rebels' high school boys and the Atlanta Valkyries are going, per the clubs. Rebels Rugby GA held its open house and gear exchange at Elkins Pointe on Tuesday, October 20, with recap reels since, and the club's site lists Turkeyfest Touch at Piedmont Park on Saturday, November 14 and a Littles Touch Jamboree on December 12. The Exiles Academy's boys XVs start Monday, November 2, U16 to U19 per the pinned graphic. Every date the clubs have posted is on the calendar.

Ragnarok 7s Is Back, Two Days at the Old White Pitch

Ragnarok 7s is back: two days of high school sevens, boys' and girls' divisions, on the Old White pitch at the Atlanta Rugby Grounds in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, presented by Valkyries Rugby and hosted by Atlanta Old White, with team registration open by Jotform and the Atlanta Rugby Foundation named as a partner. Old White's youth went to 865 Sevens in Knoxville on Saturday, October 17 and came home 1-2, a 24-12 win over Golden Eagles between two losses to the hosts. The Rebels' free open house and gear exchange is Tuesday, October 20 from 6 to 8 PM at Elkins Pointe Middle School, and the Exiles' boys XVs season begins Monday, November 2.

USA Rugby's U19 Winter Camp Comes to Marietta

USA Rugby's East winter camp, the first look for the 2027 U19 national pathway, runs December 19 to 22 in Marietta, Georgia. Any player in a USA Youth and High School Rugby program this season is eligible, and players outside the current national pool apply through a USA Rugby form. Venue, cost and deadline are still to be posted.

Two Free Youth Open Houses, October 10 and 11

Two free ways in this weekend: Rebels Rugby GA's Try Rugby Open House and Gear Exchange at Elkins Pointe in Roswell now Tuesday, October 20 at 6 PM (the October 10 date was canceled), and Golden Eagle's Open Day on the YMCA fields on Windsor Parkway on Sunday, October 11, 3 to 5 PM. Atlanta Old White Youth won the Heart of Dixie in Huntsville on October 3, four wins from four including a 26-7 final, and Golden Eagle's first practices run October 13 to 19.

Rebels Open Registration With a Free Try Rugby Day on October 10, and a Golden Eagle Alum Starts for Florida

Rebels Rugby GA opened 2026-27 registration on Sunday, September 20 for boys and girls from U8 to high school: march in the Roswell Youth Day Parade on Saturday, October 3, try rugby free at the Open House at Elkins Pointe Middle School on Saturday, October 10 from 10 AM to noon, and U8 to U14 practices start Tuesday, October 13 with the first two weeks free. Golden Eagle's registration for HS fall 7s and spring 15s is open, and Golden Eagle alum Andrew Sims made his first start for the Florida Gators on Saturday, September 19.

Rebels Sweep All Seven at the Irish Ruggerfest, Golden Eagle Take Second, and AOW Youth Beat the Hosts

Georgia sent four squads to Father Ryan's Irish Ruggerfest in Nashville on Saturday, September 12 and came home with results to show for it: Rebels Rugby GA swept the day as a club, the boys 4-0 and the girls 3-0, per the club. Golden Eagle's boys went 43-0, 32-7 and then lost two 15-10 finals to finish second by the club's count, and Atlanta Old White Youth beat the host Irish 20-10. Golden Eagle's next dated entry and the Falcons' first practice go up here the moment the clubs post them.

Three Georgia Youth Squads Head to Nashville for a One-Day Irish Ruggerfest on Saturday, September 12

Father Ryan's Irish Ruggerfest runs as a single day this year, and Georgia is sending three high school sides: Golden Eagle's boys, Rebels Rugby GA's boys and girls, and the Atlanta Valkyries. Back home, the Exiles have girls training twice a week in Alpharetta, Rebels have a free open house on Saturday, October 10, and the fees for the fall are finally posted club by club.

Seventeen Coaches Walked Out of a Level 1 Course Certified to Grow Georgia Rugby

Rebels Rugby GA hosted a USA Rugby Level 1 Coach Course on Saturday, August 29, and seventeen coaches from around the state completed it, six of them newly certified Rebels coaches. Rebels youth players stepped in as live practice players for the coursework. The club says a Level 2 course is in its sights for after the first of the year.

Exiles High School Girls Get an All-Women Coaching Staff and a Fifty-Dollar Season

Exiles RFC named its 2026-27 high school girls staff on Tuesday, August 4: head coach Keliah Newman on forwards, assistant coach Ash Nell on backs, and team manager Nadia Opperman. Sessions run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM at Innovation Academy Field B in Alpharetta, girls ages 14 to 18 from any high school can join at any point in the season, and the season fee is fifty dollars.

A Coaching Course Comes to Roswell

Rebels Rugby is hosting a USA Rugby Level 1 Coach course on Saturday, August 29 at the Roswell Area Park CAB Building, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. One day, in person, and the certification every new youth and club coach in the metro has been waiting to get without a plane ticket. Enrolling takes two steps: join or renew at usa.rugby/members, then register through the Learning Center in your account. The course list also lives at usa.rugby/courses. The course runs on enrollment, so if you have been meaning to get certified, this is the one to fill.

Youth rugby in Georgia runs from U6 flag through U19, and most clubs field multiple age bands under one roof. Many programs are coed at the younger ages, and girls play alongside dedicated girls-only sides as they come up.

New families: message the club first. Nearly every program runs intro-friendly practices where a new player can try a session before committing, and cleats plus a mouthguard cover the starting kit.
