The University of Georgia's men went to Greenwood, South Carolina on Friday, September 4 and came home with both wins: 41-22 for the A side and 13-0 for the B side against Lander, per the club's result graphic. That followed a 38-17 win over South Carolina B in Athens on Saturday, August 29. Two schedule changes from the club since: the trip to Alabama moves to Friday, October 9 in Tuscaloosa, and the Auburn match on Friday, October 30 is now in Auburn. Next up at home is Tennessee Tech on Saturday, September 19, 1 PM at IM Field #1 on Lake Herrick Drive, Parents and Family Weekend, cookout after.
Saturday, September 12 is opening day for five more Georgia programs. Kennesaw State's men play their 13th annual Alumni Match against the Peg Leg old boys at Fullers Park in Marietta, field time from noon, with a new head coach, Connor Cook, in his first season. Georgia Tech's women open at Kennesaw State. Life University's club side opens its American Rugby Premiership season at White Plains, with the return leg at Lupo Family Field on Saturday, September 19. North Georgia's men host Lee University in Dahlonega, and North Georgia's women travel to Coastal Carolina's B side.
Georgia College's opener against Georgia Tech in Milledgeville did not go ahead on September 5; per Georgia College, the clubs make it up as an away match on Saturday, October 10. Georgia Tech's men open on Saturday, September 19 at Sewanee, and Life University's men open on Saturday, September 26 at Millenia Atlantic in Florida, with their home opener against Mary Washington on Saturday, October 3 at 1 PM.
Georgia College's women posted their fall: Eckerd College at home on Saturday, September 19, their Deep Roots 7s tournament at home on Saturday, October 17, The Citadel at home on October 25, and Georgia in Athens on Saturday, November 7. Georgia's women open at North Georgia on Saturday, September 19.

Major League Rugby held its 2026 College Draft on Thursday, August 27, and the first name called was a flanker who plays his college rugby in Marietta: Life University's Logan Ballinger, picked number one overall by Old Glory DC. Life lock Tristan Hubsch went in round three to the Seattle Seawolves.

The Running Eagles marked their return with a "We're Back" preseason reel Tuesday, August 11, back on campus in Marietta after a spring that ended with the top spot at the 2026 D1A Invitational. Georgia Tech women's rugby, founded in 2006, is marking its 20th anniversary with a limited-edition drop, a custom ball and jersey, with orders open through Friday, September 11. On the pitch, the fall slate carries two home in-state derbies: Kennesaw State on Saturday, September 12 and UGA on Saturday, October 24.

For the first time since spring, you can plan a whole autumn of college rugby without leaving the state. Life University posted a nine-match schedule with four Saturdays at Lupo Family Field: Mary Washington on October 3 (the home opener, 1:00 PM), Navy on October 10, Southern Virginia on October 31, and Loyola New Orleans on November 21, with the season opening on the road at MAU on Saturday, September 26. The women's staff head into fall fresh off their girls residency camp, which wrapped Wednesday, July 29 at The Commons, and sign-ups for next summer's edition are already open. Georgia Tech runs six fixtures with two at Stamps Field, Tennessee Tech on Saturday, September 26 and North Alabama on Saturday, October 17. UGA opens at home in Athens on Saturday, August 22 under new head coach Jesse Posnansky, a former Bulldog, with South Carolina visiting Saturday, August 29 and Kennesaw State up on Saturday, October 24. And in Milledgeville, Georgia College's Bobcats built a season of their own, opening at home against Georgia Tech on Saturday, September 5, a fixture both clubs' graphics agree on, which is how we like our schedules: confirmed from both ends. The map has one gap, and it matters: not a single women's college schedule in Georgia is public yet. Life University's women's program, the reigning 2026 women's national champions, hosts a full residential camp for girls 13 to 17 at all skill levels, Thursday, July 23 to Wednesday, July 29, staying at The Commons on the Marietta campus with meals included. Spots are limited and the camp starts Thursday, July 23. One-day passes are available for families who cannot make the full week. Life University's women, based in Marietta, were crowned 2026 women's college national champions. In the final at Heart Health Park in Sacramento on Saturday, April 11, they led BYU 40-14 when conditions stopped play, and the title was awarded on the score at stoppage. Life led 26-0 at the break and finished four tries clear.
