Your Exiles came away undefeated today at the GCSU Deep Roots Rugby Tournament!" The host women posted their own results on Sunday night: "won our first game against Mississippi State!" with a win-and-loss graphic and a try-scorers slide, and thanks to Mississippi State and to Macon Love, whose motley side with the Georgia College alumni was in the pool. In Knoxville the same day, Atlanta Old White's youth went 1-2 at 865 Sevens, a 24-12 win over Golden Eagles between two losses to the hosts, per the club's score graphic.
The Valkyries posted it on Friday, October 16 with the registration link: "Valkyries are partnering with the Atlanta Rugby Foundation and the Old Whites to make this tournament happen." Ragnarok 7s runs Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 on the Old White RFC pitch at the Atlanta Rugby Grounds, 1035 Fairburn Road SW, with divisions for high school girls and high school boys, local and traveling sides welcome, per the club's note to coaches the same day. Life University's varsity men took the long trip to University Park and came back with "Results on the road": full time 46-15 over Penn State, a 3 PM kickoff, the team list posted that morning and the athletics site agreeing by Sunday. Life's club side made the same trip and "fell short today," 19-26 to NYAC at 12:30. Gainesville posted "FINAL SCORE: SPARTANS 28 - 17 SHAMROCKS!" from Daffin Park; the Shamrocks' own carousel carried the same numbers. In Augusta the Maddogs lost at home to the Charleston Outlaws with one try to show for it.
Old White billed Saturday as an "Atlanta triple header" on Fairburn Road: Auburn against Kennesaw State at 10 AM, Atlanta 2.0 Selects against Birmingham Steel at 1 PM, then Old White's D3 against Nooga Rugby at 3 PM. Auburn posted the first score, "Auburn takes down Kennesaw State 71 to 15," and Old White posted the last on Sunday: "taking down Nooga Rugby 92-7!" The middle match, the 2.0 Selects' Tackle-A-Thon and alumni day, went 44-0 to 2.0 by Birmingham's own account, a comment to the Radar on Monday that called it "a good learning experience, 0-44". Across town, Georgia Tech's men posted "Final score" from Stamps Field, 84-10 over North Alabama, four wins from four this fall, and on Monday the SCRC's own post had "Tennessee Tech and Georgia Tech battling for the top spot in D2/D3 East."
