Georgia Tech beat Vanderbilt 37-14, Life University's men open their home season 47-22 over Mary Washington, and Georgia College and Navy are the next visitors to Atlanta and Marietta
Georgia Tech's men have won both matches they have played this fall. A 49-24 home win over Tennessee Tech on September 26 was followed by a 37-14 win at Vanderbilt on Saturday, October 3, and the club's updated schedule now stacks two home Saturdays in a row, Georgia College on October 10 (1 PM, a makeup of the September 5 fixture) and North Alabama on October 17 (1 PM), then a rescheduled trip to Middle Tennessee on October 24, kickoff to be posted.
Life University's varsity men opened their home season at 11 AM on Saturday at Lupo Family Field and beat Mary Washington 47-22, with the second side playing at 12:45 PM. Navy visit Marietta on Saturday, October 10 at noon. Life's club side, playing in the American Rugby Premiership, beat Mystic River 55-12 at home in a 2:30 PM kickoff (per a player's account; the club's post is to be linked), then host New York Athletic Club on Sunday, October 11 at noon.
Not every October 3 fixture went ahead. Kennesaw State's men and Georgia College did not play, canceled per the referee society's record, and Kennesaw State's women's home match with USF was canceled, per the club, which says more home matches are coming in November. North Georgia's women spent the day at a 7s round robin at Elon.
The weekend ahead: UGA's men are at Alabama on Friday, October 9 (7 PM per the club's match-week graphic, Tuscaloosa). On Saturday, North Georgia's men host Lee in Dahlonega, Kennesaw State's women are at Georgia in Athens at noon playing 7s, and Georgia College host their Deep Roots Tournament on October 17 in Milledgeville. All of it is on the calendar.
