The Hotlanta 7s has a new home. Sixteen years in, Georgia's biggest summer sevens has outgrown its old ground, and on Saturday, July 25 it fills Union Hill Polo Club at 430 Roper Rd in Canton: 34 teams across four brackets, men's and women's, ten vendors deep, a DJ on the pitch. Play runs 8 AM to 5 PM. Playing is closed. Watching is free, and the gate is open all day.

It makes an easy first look at sevens at full speed. Parking is limited, so carpool if you can, and if it rains the whole thing shifts to Antioch Christian Church on Sugar Pike Rd. Dogs are welcome on a leash, concessions and a full vendor row line the pitch, and an ambulance plus three athletic trainers are on site start to finish. When the last whistle goes, the Pitch Party lands at Hyde Brewing in Milton with DJ Armageddon.

The field is set and registration is closed, with Mike Ryan directing, though the waiting list still runs through hotlanta@atlantarugby.com. Running alongside the tournament, a skills combine with Warfield Sports gives players a chance to be seen: $25 in advance, $30 day-of.

Sides are rolling in from around the Southeast: watch for NOLA Rugby and Safari Select in the men's field, Apex 7s and Birmingham in the men's social bracket, and Gainesville RUFC Women in the women's social.
