The Prusmack Award, created by the US Rugby Foundation in memory of A. Jon Prusmack, is presented each year to the best male and female collegiate sevens players in the country. Life University announced on Monday, July 13 that both 2026 awards had gone to Running Eagles, James Rose for the men and Hattie Greenwood for the women, with the presentation at the Foundation's Hall of Fame weekend.

Greenwood did not come from a rugby family. She was a competitive gymnast, then a hurdler and sprinter, until a cousin introduced her to rugby in the eighth grade. Now in her fourth year at Life and finishing a master's in Positive Psychology, she took command as captain at the CRAA 7s National Championships after two players were sidelined by injury, and Life won the title. Rose, a Green Bay native, began in flag rugby with Green Bay Youth Rugby, has coached flag rugby since the eighth grade, and came to Marietta after club and representative sevens in Wisconsin. Life said it had "once again" seen two of its own recognized on one of collegiate rugby's biggest stages.

Life's men open the fall on Saturday, September 26 on the road and at home against Mary Washington on Saturday, October 3. The women's fall schedule has not been posted.
