Touch & Social

Rugby's social side had its biggest turnout of the weekend nowhere near a pitch. Peg Leg Rugby, the Kennesaw State alumni and old boys club, put more than fifty golfers on the course on Saturday, September 26 for their fourth annual golf fundraiser, per the club's posts, squads, carts and all.

Old boys clubs run on exactly this. Peg Leg feeds the Silver Owls select 7s side, keeps KSU alumni in each other's lives, and fills the gap between playing days and coaching days. A fundraiser that has run four years straight is a fixture in its own right.

The club's actual rugby is still in the queue: the alumni match postponed from September 12 has no make-up date yet, per the club. When it lands, it goes on the calendar.

If your playing days are behind you but your boots are not, Georgia's social and touch scene is the door back in. Check the calendar for current sessions, and if your club runs a touch night we should know about, send it over.
