College rugby is stirring back to life across Georgia, and Athens got there first. UGA's men opened their fall on Saturday, August 22, with the club's traditional alumni match, the current squad against the old boys, on home ground.

The alumni run-out is a preseason staple: a chance to shake off the summer rust and give returning players a full game before the results count. For UGA that comes the following Saturday, when the men open conference play at home against South Carolina on August 29.

It is the same story on campuses around the state this month, with Georgia Tech and UGA back in open practice, new sides forming, and fall schedules filling in. Every college fixture we can confirm goes on the Radar's calendar; if your program's dates are not up yet, send them over.
