UGA Sweeps Lander on the Road, and Five More Georgia College Sides Open on Saturday, September 12

The University of Georgia's men went to Greenwood, South Carolina on Friday, September 4 and came home with both wins: 41-22 for the A side and 13-0 for the B side against Lander, per the club's result graphic. That followed a 38-17 win over South Carolina B in Athens on Saturday, August 29. Two schedule changes from the club since: the trip to Alabama moves to Friday, October 9 in Tuscaloosa, and the Auburn match on Friday, October 30 is now in Auburn. Next up at home is Tennessee Tech on Saturday, September 19, 1 PM at IM Field #1 on Lake Herrick Drive, Parents and Family Weekend, cookout after.

Saturday, September 12 is opening day for five more Georgia programs. Kennesaw State's men play their 13th annual Alumni Match against the Peg Leg old boys at Fullers Park in Marietta, field time from noon, with a new head coach, Connor Cook, in his first season. Georgia Tech's women open at Kennesaw State. Life University's club side opens its American Rugby Premiership season at White Plains, with the return leg at Lupo Family Field on Saturday, September 19. North Georgia's men host Lee University in Dahlonega, and North Georgia's women travel to Coastal Carolina's B side.

Georgia College's opener against Georgia Tech in Milledgeville did not go ahead on September 5; per Georgia College, the clubs make it up as an away match on Saturday, October 10. Georgia Tech's men open on Saturday, September 19 at Sewanee, and Life University's men open on Saturday, September 26 at Millenia Atlantic in Florida, with their home opener against Mary Washington on Saturday, October 3 at 1 PM.

Georgia College's women posted their fall: Eckerd College at home on Saturday, September 19, their Deep Roots 7s tournament at home on Saturday, October 17, The Citadel at home on October 25, and Georgia in Athens on Saturday, November 7. Georgia's women open at North Georgia on Saturday, September 19.
