Touch is the easiest door into the sport: no contact, no kit beyond shoes, and nobody checking your resume. One standing session is running right now: the Athens Eagles play touch on Wednesdays at Rocket Field in Watkinsville. Closer to Atlanta, Old White is putting on a community touch and BBQ day at the Atlanta Rugby Grounds on Saturday, September 12, open to anyone who wants a run.

If a one-off taster is more your speed, keep an eye on the beginner days: High Country's Rugby 101 filled Historic Fourth Ward Park on Saturday, August 29, and sessions like it land on the calendar as clubs announce them. If your club runs a touch night that is not listed here, send it over and it will be.
